Charity Mae Kohlman

Charity Mae Kohlman, 16, 2649 Meadow Creek Circle, Fargo, died Sunday, January 18, 1998, in her home from a complication of a chronic heart condition. She was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and WPW syndrome in 1986.

Charity Mae Kohlman was born October 7, 1981 in Minot, North Dakota, where she lived before moving to the Fargo-Moorhead area in 1985. She attended grades 1 through 7 in the Moorhead school system, grades 8 and 9 at Discovery, in Fargo, and was presently a sophomore at South High in Fargo. She consistently made the honor roll each year. Charity’s passion in life was dancing. She started with Red River Dance at the age of seven and was active through the fall of 1997. Other interests included cheerleading, art, music, and camping. Her friends were very important to her and she loved her family dearly. She particularly enjoyed taking care of her new baby sister and joking around with her Grandpa.

She leaves her mother, Judy (Gary) Kubalak, Fargo; her father, Kendall Kohlman, Minot, ND; her sister, Summer Lynn Kubalak, Fargo; her grandparents, George and Donna Ugland, Eau Claire, WI, and Eugene and Irene Kohlman, Minot; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be sent to Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Funeral mass: Thursday, 1:30 PM, Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo.
Visitation: Wednesday, 5-7 PM, Nativity Catholic Church, with Prayer Vigil at 7 PM.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
